Our Mission
Flight Deck Daily exists to make the sky legible — live flight tracking, weather decoding, aircraft knowledge, and aviation news, all in one calm, data-dense cockpit view. We believe access to real-time flight information shouldn’t require a pilot’s license or a paid terminal.

- WordPress block theme (theme.json-driven, full site editing)
- MapLibre GL JS with OpenFreeMap tiles for the live radar map (free, no API key)
- OpenSky Network REST API, proxied & cached server-side
- aviationweather.gov for METAR/TAF data
- RSS aggregation via WordPress’s SimplePie (
fetch_feed()), deduplicated and cached - Sketchfab embeds for 3D aircraft models
